The Library has received a special donation of $500.00 from Chad Thue through his place of employment, Wells Fargo bank.  The library also received a stuffed toy horse for our children's department from Wells Fargo. The money was used to purchase books in the children's department in honor of former teacher and avid booklover Cheryl Conrad.  These generous gifts are greatly appreciated  ~ Thank you!!

AGent Iluminar, Bringing information to light

The Grant County Public Library has taken an innovative step towards providing easier access and quality service to its patrons!   The library has transitioned from the former "in-house" card catalog to circulation system called "AGent Verso", Auto-Graphics' completely web-based ILS (integrated library management system).  Through the use of a variety of integrated modules, our library's card catalog and web page is available for patrons to access from home.  The Agent Iluminar" module provides a next-generation patron user interface that is enjoyable to navigate with 'drag and drop' technology.  Individual patron accounts can be customized according to each person's preferences.  Patrons may view book titles and descriptions, book jacket art, bibliographies, reviews, compare similar authors and genres, view personal reading history and create wish lists, and so much more!  Reserves may also be placed from home.   Click here for Patron Account set-up instructions.

Other modules available to the public with the Verso system are :

*AGent Resource Sharing  -  a robust interlibrary loan borrowing solution
*AGent Search  -  a powerful federated search application - -
(searches online databases and compares information to patrons' search queries)
*AGent Illuminar RIA Kids Catalog User Interface  -  an icon-based discovery tool
ideal for young adult collections as well as K-6 users
